Backing Up Your Data (The Online Method)
Some customers just do not backup their computer so we partnered with an online backup company, www.ezbackup.com to really simplify the process.
This service requires a monthly subscription with EZ-Backup of $ 14.95 per month. To sign up for this service, within your AutoShop Controller application click the "Management" link from the top toolbar and a long menu will appear. Click on "Customize". From there select "Third Party Integration". On top you will see "Online Backup".
From here you can install the EZ-Backup software. Here what you should expect to see.
1) A high speed internet connection is highly recommended as a dialup connection would just take too long for the backup to complete.
2) Upon installation the ezbackup software and website will prompt you to enter in your name, credit card information, etc to establish an account.
3) It is very important that you select the correct files to be backed up. Read Backing Up Your Data to see which files you need to select.
During the night, your computer will connect to ezbackup's server and upload all of your latest changes to their server. In an event of a system failure on your end you will always be able to retrieve your data from ezbackup's remote server. Customer must agree to the terms of use of ezbackup.
