Authorizing Credit Cards directly through AutoShop Controller
Carry Security Level Through Initial Sign On? - If you setup the security within AutoShop Controller, this option allows the user to enter in his user name and password upon sign on. Thus allowing the user to freely use the software without re-entering his/her password.
The following questions (two and three) only apply if you setup AutoShop Controller to authorize credit cards through it. See Authorizing Credit Cards
Only print last four digits of credit card number on invoice/receipts?
Purpose: To provide extra security for credit card users.
Impact: The Auto Shop Controller offers business owners the ability to have the last four digits not print on the invoice. The benefit of this feature is to prevent credit card fraud, and theft of credit card numbers.
Save credit card number in Customer File?
Purpose: To provide security for credit card users.
Impact: To minimize the possibility of theft and customer fraud while ensuring and maintaining strict security of customers vital credit card information.
Default Setting: Enabled. Last credit card number entered will be displayed upon the Account screen located under Customers customer entry screen. When the clerk swipes the customers credit card, this number will stored in the customers record.
